Galych
Halych was the capital of the powerful Halych-Volyn Princesdom and was one of the largest cities in Europe. It streched 8.5 km from the North to the South and 11 km from the West to the East.
Halych… The city of Prince Danylo Halytsky. It gave the name to the whole area in Ukraine.
Halych is unique historical and archeological place of world importance. Today, the city of Halych is a small regional center in Precarpathia with more than 6 thousand citizens. There are about 300 monuments of the former capital in the city and the surrounding area.
